LAND OF THE BURNING HEARTS

It is a journey into the Sicily of the 50s, of the “Tempu de lu pisci spata”, of the Arts and crafts that Vittorio de Seta wanted
to keep and fix on film for fear that this micro-world would disappear. A man with
a hat and red trousers ventures through
the industrious city, the hammer of the coppersmiths marks the rhythm of life
while the magma boils underground like
the restless soul of these people. After crossing the city, the man reaches the
sea where the fishermen struggle in the struggle through water and sweat to take home their dinner. Will return the time when man can be in full harmony with nature, where the rhythms of life will be marked by this harmonious relationship between all living beings?

This animated short was selected from numerous animation festivals throughout the world including: Animaphix 2020 (ITA), Piccolo film festival (ITA), Indie Lisboa 2021 (POR), Dumbo film festival (USA) and won the special mention during Animateka film festival 2020 (SLO). This animated video was made from the Talè group composed of: Francesco Mescolini, Marco Rinicella and Valentino Presti.
